Treatments

Below you'll find an overview of the treatments we specialize at Fysio Body Balance.

Manual therapy

Manual therapy is an effective bodywork method that helps reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, and restore proper joint movement. Using precise touch techniques, the physiotherapist removes blockages, improves mobility, and supports the body’s regeneration. It is effective for back pain, muscle tension, strains, and movement restrictions.

Fascial therapy

Fascial therapy focuses on working with the fascia, the network of connective tissues that envelop the entire body. Its goal is to restore elasticity, balance, and free movement of tissues. Using gentle yet precise techniques, the physiotherapist reduces tension, improves circulation, and relieves pain. Fascial therapy helps with conditions such as chronic pain, restricted movement, scar tissue, and muscle strain.

Trigger point therapy

Trigger point therapy focuses on applying precise pressure to overly tense spots within muscles that may cause local or radiating pain. Through targeted manual work, it helps reduce tension, improve mobility, and restore proper tissue function.

It is highly effective for back pain, overuse issues, movement restrictions, and chronic muscle tightness. Many clients feel noticeable relief after the first session.

Training

Training is a physiotherapy method that uses controlled, mindful movements to improve physical function, reduce pain, and restore proper body mechanics. Carefully selected exercises help to strengthen muscles, increase range of motion, and improve stability and coordination.

It is commonly used for spine and joint pain, post-injury and post-surgery rehabilitation, and muscle overuse conditions. Regular movement therapy supports recovery, helps prevent recurring problems, and improves overall quality of life.

Pregnancy and after childbirth

Physiotherapy for pregnant women and women who have recently given birth supports the body during the perinatal period. The therapy alleviates pain in the spine, joints, and hip girdle, improves posture, and prepares the body for childbirth. After childbirth, it helps to regenerate the pelvic floor and abdominal muscles (e.g., in cases of rectus diastasis), improve stability, and return to physical activity. It includes individually tailored exercises, education, breathing and relaxation techniques.

Dry needling

Dry needling involves inserting thin needles into trigger points in muscles that cause pain and tension. We use this technique to effectively relax contracted muscles, improve circulation, and accelerate the regeneration process. The treatment is particularly helpful in treating muscle and tension pain, as well as sciatica, piriformis syndrome, and back pain.

Scar therapy

Scar therapy is a specialized form of therapy aimed at improving the elasticity, mobility, and appearance of scars, as well as reducing pain, tension, and pulling sensations. Appropriate manual techniques and exercises help to release adhesions, improve circulation, and restore proper tissue function.

Scar therapy can also use methods such as dry needling, kinesiotaping, pin therapy, and cupping therapy, which effectively affect the deep layers of tissue and accelerate regeneration.

The therapy is especially recommended after surgery, injuries, and cesarean sections, when the scar limits movement, affects posture, or causes discomfort.

Shockwave therapy

Shockwave therapy uses high-energy acoustic waves that penetrate deep into the tissues, stimulate microcirculation, accelerate regenerative processes, and promote healing. It is effective in treating chronic pain conditions of the musculoskeletal system, such as heel spurs, Achilles tendonitis, tennis elbow, and shoulder pain. The treatment is non-invasive, takes only a few minutes, and quickly reduces pain and improves mobility.

Electrotherapy

Electrotherapy includes TENS and PENS treatments, among others.

  • TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) uses transcutaneous nerve stimulation with low-intensity electrical impulses, blocking the transmission of pain stimuli and stimulating the release of endorphins. It is used for back pain, joint pain, neuralgia, and strain.
  • PENS (Percutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) combines elements of acupuncture and electrotherapy – thin needles are inserted into the area of nerves or pain trigger points to reduce discomfort, improve nerve conduction, and promote tissue regeneration. The method is effective for chronic back pain, neuralgia, myofascial pain, and peripheral neuropathies.

Pressotherapy

Pressotherapy is a treatment involving compression massage using a special device with air-filled cuffs. The aim is to stimulate lymph and blood circulation, reduce swelling, remove toxins, and improve metabolism. It supports the treatment of lymphatic edema and heavy legs, and accelerates recovery after exercise. It is also used in the prevention of varicose veins and in therapies supporting cellulite reduction. The treatment is painless and relaxing.

Cupping

Vacuum cupping is a traditional therapeutic method that uses negative pressure to improve blood circulation, relax tense muscles, and support the body’s natural regeneration processes. It can help with musculoskeletal pain, overload-related issues, reduced immunity, and chronic stress.

The treatment is safe, quick, and comfortable, often providing relief after just one session. It’s an excellent complement to manual therapy and soft tissue work.

Kinesiotaping

Kinesiotaping is a therapeutic method involving the application of elastic tapes to the skin to support the functioning of muscles, joints, and the lymphatic system. The tape lifts the skin, improving blood and lymph circulation, which reduces pain and swelling. We use it to treat sports injuries, muscle strain, posture correction, and inflammation reduction. It does not restrict movement and supports the body’s regeneration and proprioception.

Sylo-pen

The Sylo-Pen is a CE-registered medical device that allows you to treat muscles, trigger points, connective tissue, scars, and joints in a targeted manner.

Widely used for self-treatment of neck, shoulder, back, and pelvic complaints, but also effective for joint pain. The pen is easy to use, sturdy, and precise, allowing you to apply targeted pressure to painful areas.

Pinotherapy

Pinotherapy is a manual therapy method combining elements of conventional medicine, acupressure, and reflexology. It uses special tools – pins and sticks – which the therapist uses to stimulate specific points and areas of the body. Its aim is to restore muscle-fascial balance, reduce pain, improve mobility, and normalize nervous system tension. It is used for back and joint pain, muscle tension, migraines, and functional disorders of internal organs.

SOS-breathing

SOS Breathing is a physiotherapeutic method of breathing re-education that combines diagnostics, education, and practical exercises. It helps improve breathing patterns, restore nasal breathing, support diaphragm function, and regulate the nervous system through breath control. It is an effective, holistic approach that has a real impact on the patient’s health, posture, and well-being.

Low Pressure Fitness

LPF (Low Pressure Fitness) is a modern training method based on hypopressive exercises, postural techniques, and conscious breathing. Its purpose is to strengthen the deep core muscles, enhance stability, and improve postural habits that are essential for comfortable everyday movement.

With regular practice, LPF helps reduce overall tension, unload the spine, support pelvic floor function, and increase body awareness. Because it avoids high intra-abdominal pressure, it is safe for people with pelvic floor weakness, postpartum women, individuals with back pain, or anyone struggling with poor posture. It is a holistic approach to bodywork that noticeably improves daily comfort and wellbeing.
